A film about an ancient craft in a modern industry.

 

During the last century horses were replaced by agricultural machines. As a result the majority of horseshoe factories in Europe have been closed. In the Netherlands however three factories remain, producing more than eighty percent of the global demand. Iron Luck is a about a unique Dutch trade with great symbolic value.

A poetical narrative in past and present. A man embarks

on a journey to retrieve the love of his life.

 

A disheveled fisherman plods through the dunes, lugging a

heavy cart with a wooden boat on it. Finally at the beach, the

lure of the sea is strong but first the boat needs repairs.
